The competitive examinations for the recruitment of qualified GDS to the Postman/Mail Guard posts for the 2024 vacancy year were held on 25-08-2024 for Papers I, II, and III with the Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) conducted on 08-09-2024 per the Directorate’s notification dated 10-07-2024 (A-34012/03/2024) and the office notification from 15-07-2024 Rectt./2-5/2024).

Guidelines set by the Directorate (letters dated 05-04-2022 and 19-12-2022) have defined the qualifying conditions for Papers I & II, Paper III, and DEST for the promotion process.
Following the Directorate’s directions from 18-10-2023 and 31-10-2023, and the Postman/Mail Guard recruiting criteria, applicants were chosen based on a Circle-level merit list, with distribution to divisions/units based on the order of preference and availability of openings.
