Retirement Age of Central Government Employees: (a) if the government is suggesting a change to the retirement age for government workers, what that change would be and how it would be implemented;

(b) If there is a policy in place to eliminate the vacancy formed by the retirement of employees, please provide the specifics of the policy, as well as the number of posts that have been eliminated since 2014.

(c) information as to when federal and state government workers are eligible to retire;

(d) why, across federal and state agencies, there is no set retirement age for government workers; and

(e) Is the retirement age being changed by any government employee unions or groups, and if yes, what modifications have been made?

(2) The government is not currently considering any proposal to modify the retirement age of government personnel. There is no plan in place to fill the position that becomes vacant when government workers retire.

(c) and (d): Since the topic is on the State List, no central government database stores such information.

(e) The National Council (Joint Consultative) staff has not yet submitted a formal proposal.
