Key Dates and Schedule

Candidates interested in appearing for the examination must adhere to the following deadlines:

  • Issue of Notification: April 2, 2025
  • Last Date for Receipt of Applications at Division Office: April 25, 2025
  • Last Date for Receipt of Applications at Circle Office: April 30, 2025
  • Issue of Admit Cards: May 5, 2025
  • Date of Examination: May 11, 2025

Examination Time Table

The examination will consist of two papers, both of which allow the use of books:

  • Paper I: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Paper II: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Eligibility Criteria

As per Rule 273 of the Postal Manual Volume IV, the following eligibility conditions apply:

  • No one with less than three years of continuous employment as a Postal Assistant (PA) or Sorting Assistant (SA) will be considered for this position.
  • The end date for applications is based on when they were certified permanent or quasi-permanent.
  • A candidate’s service record over the last three years must be consistently excellent.
  • You cannot apply if you are a PA (SBCO), PA (CO/RO), or LSG official.

Qualifying Marks

The minimum marks required to qualify vary based on category:

  • The Division/Unit Heads should carefully review all applications.
  • To complete their applications, candidates need to provide two passport-sized photos.
  • By May 5, 2025, all qualified applicants will have received their hall permits.
  • We have the right to reject any application that is either late or does not adhere to the specified standard.
  • Notification should also be sent to candidates who are on leave, deputation, or participating in foreign service training..
