In the Alpha stage, the newest upgrade for the Enrollment Client Multi-Platform (ECMP) version 3.3.4.2.192-2 has been issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).
Better security, efficiency, and accuracy are guaranteed by this upgrade, which significantly enhances the Aadhaar enrollment and updating procedure.
Key Updates in ECMP v3.3.4.2.192-2
1. HOF-Based NRI Enrolment
For both adults and kids who are non-resident Indians (NRIs), the Head of Family (HOF) system of enrollment has been put in place by UIDAI. The Aadhaar numbers of relatives living abroad may be used by NRIs to enrol in the scheme.
2. Address Verification Alert
To reduce enrollment mistakes, a new pop-up notification asks operators to confirm that the given address matches the HOF’s Aadhaar address.
3. Integration of Authentication v2.5
Upgraded authentication with liveness checks for Fingerprint Image Record (FIR) and Fingerprint Minutiae Record (FMR) is now possible with the new Auth 2.5 version incorporated into ECMP.
4. Document Upload Process Changes
For the sake of efficiency, UIDAI has removed the “Attach” button from the document upload area. The only way to upload documents now is to scan them.
5. Revised Acknowledgment Slip
There has been an effort to make the acknowledgement slip format for updated enrollments more clear.
6. Limitations on Devices Used for Just One Iris
Authentication with a single iris device is no longer supported; only twin iris devices are allowed.
Additional Universal Client Enhancements
- The validity of the consent token determines whether residents are required to provide permission again if a demographic fetch fails.
- The validity of operator tokens is that they will be active until the operator logs out manually.
- If the client does not successfully get the document lists and foreign types initially, operators may reload them using a new refresh button.
